My Story
I am a psychodynamic-existential therapist attuned to identity, belonging, meaning-making, and inner transformation. My practice supports clients navigating grief, trauma, relational challenges, emotional disconnections, and the complexities of cultural identity. With warmth and depth, I invite clients to slow down, deepen their self-understanding, and move toward healing in mind, body and spirit.
My early life experiences shaped a deep awareness of emotional suffering and the relational dimensions of healing. Navigating through my own adversities and limitations directly influenced my therapeutic focus on the emotional and relational contributions of human suffering, with the hope that, a person can grow into exactly who they are through meaningful reflection and therapeutic relationships. My passion is to support you in becoming you in this world we all live in - as your self, and also as a part of something greater.
I was born in Chongqing, China (known for its delicious spicy food), and began my overseas study journey as a young adolescent. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I worked as a tutor, teaching assistant, coach, and academic counselor, supporting people in their educational and personal goals. I am a lifelong learner who is passionate about working with clients of all cultures, beliefs, professions, and self-identities.
Spirituality, metaphor, and the search for meaning are deeply ingrained in my life and work. Outside the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with different sports, meditation, nature, and animals. With over a decade of training in multiple combat sports, being an athlete is a profound part of my identity. Fighting and competition have taught me about discipline, vulnerability, fear, resilience, embodiment, and the human experience of confronting limitation and uncertainty.
Welcome to this space - I am truly humbled by your presence here.
